The Demonizing and Dehumanization of Transgender: I Blame Vertical Morality & Divine Purpose

Dear Reader,  Whether you agree or disagree that religion has played a significant role in the oppression of many groups of people over the past thousand or more years, this commentary isn't about absolute proof. A prerequisite of some history is required here. Volumes of books and articles have already been produced for those that care to know the truths of history, even when it hurts. This writing is also open to constructive feedback and correction, as I do not fear to be wrong. The Heart of Ona's Writes & Songs

Hello friends and strangers. The stories of what led me to the decision to take writing seriously and offer it as a service, especially for the LGBT+ and Secular Humanism communities, is too lengthy and complex to share in this post. And the multiple characters, so to speak, that played their part in my life's story so far also have their own complexities and attributes that are not necessary to discuss in this context either. What I will share here is that I have a lengthy background and connection in the concepts and lived-experiences of Christianity, Divine Purpose, and Vertical Morality. Those beliefs and values went deep, for a time. They also took me outside reality-based empathy for people that did not fit within the moral constructs as defined by my indoctrination. Hello world! As cliche as those words are in the computer geek community, I am still compelled to use them as my opening line. I type this with a smirk of rebellious apathy of having a perfect corporate image, a bit of self-mockery, and sincere joy that I am finally kicking this off.
